  • Houses Allotted: A total of 118.64 lakh houses have been sanctioned, with an investment of Rs 8.07 lakh crore. Of these, 114.40 lakh houses have been grounded, and 85.43 lakh have been completed and delivered to the beneficiaries.
  • Women Beneficiaries: Out of the total houses, 49.63 lakh are in the name of women, 16.79 lakh in the name of men, and 39.44 lakh under joint ownership. Thus, more than 89 lakh houses are registered in the name of women, reflecting a significant move towards gender equality and women’s empowerment.
  • Central Assistance: The central government has approved Rs 2 lakh crore as assistance, of which Rs 1.64 lakh crore has already been released to states, union territories, and central nodal agencies.
